New Lincoln rector

Lincoln College has announced who will be taking over the Rectorship in Michaelmas 2012.

Professor Henry Woudhuysen FBA, an Oxford alumnus, will succeed current Rector Professor Paul Langford, who is due to retire on 31st August.

Professor Woudhuysen is currently Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at University College, London. 

An English scholar, he has been a Fellow of the British Academy since 2010, and said on his election: “I am tremendously excited about coming back to Lincoln – after an interval of thirty years – and am looking forward a great deal to working with the College and all its members.”
