Team update
The Oxford sailing teams are once again training hard in preparation for the BUSA championships to be held in Leeds this April. Both the firsts, seconds and ladies' teas fared well against tough inter-university competition at qualifying events in Southampton, and at Oxford's Farmoor reservoir, and have secured places in the championship which gets underway in just nine weeks.
The results so far this year have been encouraging, the first team making it through to the finals in London, and the seconds seeking off Brookes and Reading in fine style at the recent qualifier.
The ladies' team also continues to improve steadily, and after a somewhat shaky start to the season, narrowly missed gaining a place in the gold fleet at the Ladies' Team-Racing Nationals, held at Spinnaker lake, Southampton, last weekend.
The teams look well-prepared, and are easily capable of taking on the best in the country.
