Oxford Driven to Distraction
Last Wednesday saw Oxford's first entry into the Inter-University Karting Championship.
Sport: No Game As Teddies Crash Out
This was the match with everything, colossal forward battles, mercurial three-quarters play, excitement and - for Hall - heartbreak. An easterly wind ensured inventive use of the boot, whilst firm conditions under foot allowed for a fast and furious running game.
Sport: Hertford Nail Magdalen
Champions Magdalen met Hertford in a top of the table clash having already taken the title, and presumably confident of a certain victory. Their season has been one of large scores and little real exertion, but today they found themselves faced with the tigerish defiance of a Hertford team keen to finish in second place. It was a cold, windy day but the football on show was of the highest standard with a glut of chances and no shortage of skill, each team willing to attack at every opportunity....
Sport: Oxford Table Rare Win
As the Final results of the 2002 Varsity Games show what is likely to be a crushing defeat for Oxford, there was one impressive high-point in an otherwise disappointing showing by the Dark Blues.

We have only one run to go on with Valiramix, a convincing win over The French Furze. But impressive as this was, The French Furze was subsequently beaten 11 lengths by Rodock at Haydock. Rodock looks a serious E-W opportunity if he takes his place. If not, then Marble Arch acts on fast ground....
Sport: Oxford Grounded By RAF
Still suffering a hangover from the bitter disappointment of narrowly missing out on BUSA Halifax Championships qualification, we travelled to Benson to take on the RAF in a friendly match. Although it was a very scrappy occasion, it helped to extend our recent record of just two defeats in sixteen games, and was notable for an excellent defensive team performance....
Sport: College Hockey: Worcester edge towards title
Worcester continue their dominance of the hockey league, standing three points clear of their nearest rivals, with a game in hand writes Rob Hoyle. The strength of Kanga's side seems to lie in his large, enthusiastic squad of players that have consistently outshone their opposition; a 1-1 draw against Keble being the only blight....
