Diversity Week

By James Murray

FIFTH WEEK IS DIVERSITY Week in Oxford, with a program of events planned to celebrate and promote the diversity and tolerance of Oxford's student population.

Events on Sunday include the launch of 'LIP', a new pro-multicultural magazine, written by students and launched simultaneously in the Universities of Durham, Oxford and York.

On Wednesday there will be a session in the Larkin Room, St John's, to discuss the issues confronting ethnic minority students at Oxford. Thursday will see a demonstration outside the Clarendon Building on Broad Street in favour of equal partnership rights for lesbian and gay people.

The full events program is online at ousu.org/diversity.
