Church pulls out
The Union have announced that Charlotte Church will no longer be appearing on Monday of 7th week, as had been announced in the term-card.
Fraser Campbell, President of the Oxford Union, told The OxStu: "It is very unfortunate that Ms. Church will not be attending, but when you are dealing with the type of people that we invite, who give their time for no money, you have to expect that some will have to cancel."
The OxStu also has a copy of an email that Annabel Clark, the Secretary's assistant, sent to college ents reps on Wednesday. In it Ms Clark asks if anyone can supply a D.J. for this Saturday's ball at the Union. When asked if he felt this was very late to be organising an essential element of the ball, Campbell replied: "People come in the knowledge that there'll be all they can drink and music, they are not promised a particular DJ, though we will definitely have one."
