Raelians!

By James Murray

A HEATED DEBATE HAS been scheduled for Thursday between the head of the British Raelian group and the Director of the Pro-Life Alliance.

As reported last week in The OxStu, the Raelians hit the headlines when their subsidiary company, Clonaid, announced to the world earlier this year that they had cloned a human baby.

Head Raelian Glenn Carter will face Pro-Lifer Bruno Quintavalle in the debate 'This House sees nothing wrong with full human cloning'.

There had been security fears surrounding the controversial profile of the speakers, though the University Marshall decided on Tuesday that extra secuitry would be unnecessary. However, a hotline has been set up should things get out of hand.

The debate is to be held in the Old Dining Room at Harris Manchester College and will start at 7.30pm.
