Paparazzi Plague Peters

St Peter's College continues to be plagued with journalists this week amid a media frenzy regarding Charlotte Church's new boyfriend, second year student Ed Foy.

One reporter, claiming to be from The Independent, attempted to gain access to the college but was stopped in his tracks by porter Gary Brown. "I sent him away with a flea in his ear", he said. During the week, however, opportunists have been loitering in the bar and some managed to infiltrate Saturday's 'Scally'-themed bop.

The Master, Professor Bernard Silverman, told The OxStu: "We do not comment on any individual student without his or her permission". Most of Foy's peers have tacitly adopted this position and protected him from the media onslaught, despite temptations of financial reward. Consequently, the reporters could only produce the revelation that he had a previous girlfriend also named Charlotte.

Bar regular Paul Sims, 19, expressed his dismay at such underhand attempts to acquire gossip on one of his fellow students: "It's threatening the famed chill-out vibe of our bar." The atmosphere within the college remains one of bemusement.
