Heroin Death

By Anjool Malde

A man has died after taking a lethal dose of a dangerously pure batch of heroin, a week after it hit the streets of Oxford.

The man, currently unnamed, collapsed and died on Saturday after taking the drug in the local town of Abingdon.

Police have urged heroin users to remove the batch from the street. "Our priority is to stop anyone else dying as a result of overdosing on the drug", said Detective Sargeant Geoff Webb, from Abingdon CID. "We need to know where this batch has come from".

Last week The OxStu reported claims from an anonymous source that drug dealers had come to Oxford from London in order to capitalise on interest from revellers at a major drum 'n' bass act appearing locally.
