Love is in the air
Societies from all over the University have organised events this week from blind dates to balls in preparation for Valentine's Day this Saturday.
The biggest event taking place this week will be the RAG Blind Date in association with Oxford Romance. The blind date is an annual event in Cambridge, where over 4,000 dates are usually set up each year, raising thousands for charity in the process.
Oxford Romance and the PPE society are also hosting a speed-dating event at Thirst cocktail bar on Sunday 15th February. Oxford Romance President Alice Oven told The OxStu, "We are all really excited about this Valentine's Day. The RAG Blind date will be great and speed-dating will be brilliant this Sunday - cheap cocktails, jazz and that loved-up feeling - it's bound to be a success!"
