Diversity Week
Fifth week sees the start of OUSU's annual Diversity Week hosting a programme of events "celebrating diversity and fighting for equality."
The week brings together the work of OUSU's equal opportunities campaigns, namely the Anti-Racism, Disabilities Action and Queer Rights groups, the International Students and Mature Students Committees and the Women's Campaign.
Forthcoming events include Friday's Disabilities Awareness Training with Target Schools volunteers in Balliol, Saturday's Alternative Careers fair in Exam Schools and, next Tuesday, 'An evening of World culture' in the Town Hall.
Rosie Buckland OUSU Vice President, (Welfare and Equal Opportunities), stresses that the week is for all Oxford residents: "Diversity Week provides an opportunity for students and local residents alike to get involved with the groups and ensure that they're campaigning on the issues that interest them. All are welcome at the events, so just turn up and get involved!"
More information about the week's events can be found online at www.ousu.org/diversity.
