The Greyhounds moved ahead of Oxford Brookes' 1st XV and into an undisputed first place of the BUSA league with a 40-25 win over Warwick 1st XV last Wednesday. The blustery afternoon was punctuated by solid and exciting play from both sides. The score quickly shot up to 10-5 in favour of Warwick, early tries being scored by both sides, with Warwick also adding a penalty....

The Oxford Greyhounds took a notable step closer to the BUSA league title by beating fierce rivals Oxford Brookes 36-17. In what was a thrilling game played out before a crowd of over 1000 exuberant spectators, the Greyhounds survived a late revival from Brookes to avenge their defeat from earlier on in the season and now need solely a victory against Warwick to clinch the title....


Sport: Oxford University Blues vs Oxford City Zodiacs

Following last weekend's narrow defeat of the University in the Town vs Gown match, 3-2, the Blues were confident they could turn the score in their favour in this Saturday's league game. They opened strongly with defensemen Katherine Ryder and Sahar Gordiz shutting down any attempted attack by the Zodiacs, then winger Lisa Villeneuve carrying the puck all the way up the ice, and followed by fellow forwards Freddie Fok and Emma Eckered put pressure on the Zodiacs' experienced netminder, Dee Taylor. It was eventually Eckered who managed to poke the puck over the goal line under Taylor's stomach to give the Blues a 1-0 lead. However, 4 minutes later a breakaway from ex-Blues player Amy Hadden drew the Zodiacs level, and this was how the period ended. ...

Sport: Volley Ball

The Iffley Road gym was treated to a dominating display by the Oxford Volleyball team as they faced Brookes in a charged match. The last time the teams met Oxford were left disappointed after a closely fought battle went in favour of the visitors, however it was not the case this time. The match was also important for positioning for the play-offs to be held in Loughborough later this year, and saw Oxford retain their position above Brookes....
