Loving the Links!

In case you thought our articles were random, The OxStu presents the link between the stories. Welcome to The Oxford Connection... The University is quite rightly confident that its students have better things on which to spend their money than betting, especially on the 10,000/one odds that Oxford is holding weapons of mass destruction. Talking of money, a Roman coin has been found - which could change the face of Roman history - in Oxfordshire mud. Also in the muddy fields there could well be deer. Deer, as Oxford researchers revealed this term, are more interested in social than sexual postions when it comes to reproduction. Magdalen has a deer park. Nearby is Magdalen Bridge, where a dog was asked for a cigarette this term, with unfortunate circumstances. Magdalen Bridge is on the High - a very straight road. Pigeons, according to another wise researcher, are fond of following roads, as they think: "Rather than fiddle around with my inbuilt compass I'm going to follow the A34, which will take me home nicely". Oxford birds flying up the High Street will pass the Exam Schools which students occupied in second week. Oxford public loos, however, may have found themselves less occupied this term, coming a disappointing second place in the Loo of the Year competition. Oxford also came second (or last) in an anniversiary boat race this week against the dirty Tabs. See? The links are endless. Proving once and for all that a) The David Kelly affair was clearly an Oxford conspiracy to avert attention from top-up fees, and b) even the busiest students in the world have far too much time on their hands.
