Cherwell resubscription
Debate over Cherwell subscription continues as Wadham SU voted to keep the newspaper in a referendum last Thursday.
The referendum reverses a decision made in the SU meeting of February 15th to cancel the College subscription to the newspaper due to "what were felt to be a series of errors and misjudgements" on the part of the publication.
Rob Vance, Wadham SU president, told The OxStu that he felt people had misunderstood the reasons for the Cherwell desubscription and called the decision "unfortunate", adding that "it would have been easier to debate the issue had it been proposed through the SU." The newspaper will return to the lodge shortly.
Meanwhile at Keble an emergency meeting to discuss the Cherwell subscription was abandoned after too few students were in attendance to meet the quorum of 35. The meeting wil reconvene this coming Sunday.
