Inside, he was dancing
The most impressive aspect to Alejandro Amenabar's new work is the fact that for a film about death (a theme shared by the director's earlier offering The Others), it is a strangely life-affirming experience.
Film: Another dose of 'magic'
The original Magic Roundabout can't be surpassed – but, taken on its own, the new Magic Roundabout actually ain't bad, hep daddio – in fact, it's quite good, with enough trippy ‘60s surrealism (including at one point a particularly baffling romance between a snail and a cow) retained from the original to make it enjoyable for more than just kids.

This playfully comic children's cartoon succeeds in entertaining the little ones, if not their mummies and daddies.
