Singles- The Go! Team, Ladyflash.
‘Ladyflash’ is a great word, isn’t it? Not much flash to the song, though, not much of a song even, more an amiable mess smothered in cymbal sound. A few 60s girl-group-ish sample vocals, drum parts stitched irregularly together, electronic squiggles and children’s choirs; like the Avalanches with even less personality, and far less creativity.
Whilst it might be a lot of fun in the middle of a bouncy set, or perhaps in a very gentle rave, it’s not particularly worth listening to on its own.
