No Wills, no way
PRINCE WILLIAM has rejected Oxford, according to the University's Admissions Secretary.
Jane Minto, Admissions Secretary for the University denied that William had approached Oxford before the October 15th admissions deadline: "I can honestly say that I've not seen an application form from him."
Heavy speculation had followed William's interest in Lincoln College but it now seems the second-in-line to the throne has secretly snubbed Oxford. "If he had applied, we wouldn't have told anybody," said Miss Minto, "We would never give out information about individual applicants or separate colleges, only information of global importance."
Joanne Fryer, Press Assistant for William's alleged second favourite University, Bristol, warned William to get his application form in on time: "We have no knowledge of his application and he only has until December 15th to apply."
Leading public schools such as Eton, where the Prince is attending, usually enter their Oxbridge applications early to increase the chances for their candidates.
Dissuaded by his father's anxieties about William's involvement with the 'Oxford Set,' Cambridge has been reported as the Prince's firm favourite. Buckingham Palace Spokesperson Kiloran McGrigor dismissed the claims:
"This is entirely speculation, which is what we have said all along. We are not giving any details on what his schooling arrangements are."
