Targeting tutorials
How many of us really get anything from tutorials? Do mind stimulating, interest whetting, genius inspiring dialogues between academic and student only exist in fiction? Are they merely opportunities for tutors to devotedly and dogmatically clear up muddles and iron out the facts? Perhaps they are simply functional exercises in argument and debate - an opportunity for tutor and student alike to play devil's advocate, regardless of any genuine desire for "the truth"?...
