OUSU to the Rescue

By Unknown Author

THIS WEEK SEES the launch of OUSU's Student Advice Service, a free listening, advice and referral service.

"The OUSU Student Advice Service provides a real and effective service for students who need help or advice," says OUSU Vice President (Welfare) Tony Lord. "We aim to allow all members of OUSU to discuss any issue they wish in a welcoming, non-threatening environment."

The service promises to offer impartial advice with complete confidentiality. And it boasts an experienced team of listeners, including one - Annily Campbell - joining as a professional Student Advisor.

Campbell has worked in private practice and now comes to OUSU three days a week.

The Student Advice Service can be contacted from 10am - 5.30pm Mon-Fri, on Oxford 280440.

Meanwhile, Nightline will be open for calls and visits during Fresher's Week. Round the clock service starts at 8pm on Wednesday and runs through to 2am on Sunday. Nightline can be contacted on Oxford 553456.
