Crocketts

"My life is awash", are the words spoken by Jack in the penultimate episode of Dawson's Creek. Oh Jack, how I feel your pain. First I find out that Dianne Louise-Jordan isn't a Christian, then Paula Yates dies, and now I have to review the latest single by The Crocketts with one of those 'open mind' things. Damn.

1939 Returning fills that middle ground in indie-pop-rock that top music execs and other such people in the know call "really boring and rubbish". It's far too slow and pathetic for teenage boys to jump up and down to (always making sure they are out of sync), and much too fast and happy for fat teenage girls to cry to. The worst thing is the fact that The Crocketts probably think that they Rock when in actual fact Menswear are, in all seriousness, Death Metal by comparison.
