President Arrested
Union President Marcus Walker will swap his trademark suits for black and white convict chic next week when he's arrested for charity.
Marcus has volunteered to be fingerprinted, photographed and thrown in a cell at St Aldates station, to raise £500 'bail' for charity Deafblind UK. "The charges will be compiled by my friends, so I'd imagine it'll have quite a lot to do with my drunken antics," said Marcus.
Armed with just a mobile phone, Walker will be banged up in a cell alongside other 'convicts', all eager to taste freedom again. Asked how he'll raise the bail, Marcus said, "I'll just tell them they can't come to Prezzy drinks, that'll soon get them putting their hands in their pockets." Meanwhile, colleagues have suggested it would be more entertaining to leave him in there.
During the morning's events Graham Hicks, who is both deaf and blind, will talk to the 'convicts' about living with his disabilities.
