Private Church

By Mary Huff

Charlotte Church launched a campaign for the rights of under 18's to have privacy from the media during her visit to the Union on Monday, writes Mary Huff.

The seventeen-year-old singer gave a talk which included footage of an interview she conducted with Piers Morgan, the Editor of The Daily Mirror, on the subject of press intrusion.

The highlight of the talk for most, though, was when she was asked which singer she didn't really admire and answered:

"I don't think Victoria Beckham has got a very good voice."

Church was accompanied by her mother and found herself in a tricky situation when asked whether she would give up either sex or music. She replied: "I love them both too much".
