Police have launched an investigation into allegations that Nadeem Ahmed, a graduate student from Hertford College, was sent racist emails telling him to quit the University. The offensive messages told Ahmed, who had been studying Mediaeval Arabic, that he would be better suited to a future working in McDonald's. ...

MYSTERY SURROUNDS A decision by Merton College disciplinary authorities to expel one of the most popular members of college. She had only been at the college since Michaelmas, but had already found a place in many students' hearts. According to JCR president Chris Akrill, "Wednesday was getting everywhere". Another Mertonian, Emily Wiffen, added, "she got fed about five times a day", as so many students invited her into their rooms to share meals. Wednesday is a black cat.

The body of missing student Wallace Watson was found last month on Sunday 11th. After a sighting by a member of the public near Folly Bridge, Oxford, police sealed off the footpath, while an underwater rescue team from Sulhampstead, near Reading, recovered the body. It was identified as Wallace Watson by items found on the body, including a driver's licence....
