Football round-up
MAGDALEN COMPLETED A magnificent campaign with their 3-0 victory over Wadham in the Cuppers Final at Iffley Road. In the league, Steve Free's men were equally dominant, clinching the title by six points over nearest rivals Somerville.
Elsewhere, an unfortunate Lincoln and inevitably Worcester were relegated, to be replaced by Division One champions Queens and Tim Randman's strong Hertford team.
Jesus and St Hugh's departed for the Second Division whilst Wolfson withdrew, with Christ Church, Pembroke and Keble promoted in their place. Regent's Park received the dubious honour of propping up the entire league. Thanks to organiser Chris Banks for the final tables.
Meanwhile, due to a waterlogged pitch at Fulham's Craven Cottage, the Varsity Football match between Oxford and Cambridge was postponed. The provisional date now set for this fixture is Friday May 4th (ko 7.45pm tbc) at the Manor Ground.
