Date rape
Rohypnol, the 'date rape drug', is being used repeatedly in nearby Banbury, writes Tom Whitfield. The latest victim, a 22 year old asthma sufferer, collapsed in the toilets of a nightclub during the vacation. She later learned that she was given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation before being taken to the Horton Hospital.
The Association of University Chief Security Officers advises that as well as not leaving drinks unattended, people should go home with someone they really trust should they feel unusually odd, nauseous or drunk after only a few drinks, and wait until the effects wear off the next day.
