Straw hit by girl
WILL STRAW, JCR President of New College, has been sporting a shiny new black eye since being hit by another JCR President.
Jane Anderson, JCR President of Exeter College gave Will the obvious shiner at "PresFun", a social event organised for JCR Presidents.
Jane Anderson, known as "G.I. Jane" to the other presidents because of her affiliations to the Army, engaged Will Straw in playfighting whilst the presidents were at Somerville college. All the presidents were said to be extremely drunk, as Will and Jane squared up to each other. Unfortunately, during the friendly brawl which ensued Jane accidently clipped Will around the head, giving him a painful black eye the next day.
Dan Rumney, JCR President of Christ Church college had a full view of the spectacle. He commented that Will Straw "got an arse-kicking" and described New's JCR president as "a six-foot weakling".
An eyewitness from Somerville said: "I was standing on the quad, about ten metres away, when I saw some people rolling around in a bush by the bar. They all looked incredibly pissed."
Jane Anderson and Will Straw were both unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
