Alright, so the 17th of March has been and gone, but Dublin is beautiful all year round. Dublin used to be a place where students could go with just £2.50 in their pockets. They'd then busk and scrounge for two weeks and fall in love with all things Irish. But now Ireland is booming, accommodation prices are sky-rocketing and, anyway, you'll need to take Euros, not pounds. Dublin is an exciting place to be this year. The first thing I should point out is that I am willing to consider any sweet that is sold for between 1 and 5 pence, not just the single penny chaps. Having said that, the sweet must be available in a plastic tub, or perchance jar, and must be served in a white paper bag. Anything that comes in sealed plastic bags is a traitor to its origins and frankly is below contempt (and quite possibly German, urgh!). Sweets that are essentially the same ingredients in a different shape are counted as one.
