"Bookshop wrecked my degree"
TRINITY COLLEGE FINALISTS have described college library conditions as like "studying on a building site", due to the noise emanating from Blackwell's Bookshop. The shop, which backs onto the library, has chosen the start of Trinity Term to perform major work on its roof.
Third years were outraged at the lack of respect Blackwell's had shown. One angry finalist said, "students are always popping in there for coffee. Trinity provides Blackwell's with a great deal of business and their timing is really inconsiderate."
Trinity JCR President, Martin Cooles, played down the complaints, saying that the college had been in contact with Blackwell's and that the work was due to end soon.
