Exam euphoria

A student is being summoned before a University disciplinary panel for spraying one of the Proctors in the face with champagne outside the Examination Schools on the High Street. The event occurred last Tuesday, when Ambrose Faulks was celebrating the end of a friend's Finals and accidentally hit what appeared to be a Proctor dressed in official garb when aiming for former OUCA President Marcus Walker.

Faulks has been told that he will be notified of his imminent 'proctorisation' through his college Dean within five days. Faulks explained that he "was trying to spray a friend of mine and I hit the Proctor instead. It's a bit regrettable, but that's life."

Rules regarding post-examination celebration are quite clear about activities around the Exam Schools: "Parties or celebrations may not be held in or near the Examination Schools, the Schools Quadrangle, or any other building which is being used for examinations." There is, though no specific mention of the procedures for assault of a Proctor.
