Trinity means rent. Endless negotiations, another round of protests, petitions across the University as JCRs prepare to oppose college authorities they perceive as unthinking and unsympathetic. It's a neverending cycle.

These are difficult times for universities and students alike. Though government funding has nominally increased in recent years, so has the number of institutions receiving it, so much so that universities such as Oxford are receiving an ever-smaller proportion and thus less money year on year. Additional funds traditionally made available to Oxford and Cambridge have been all but phased out, while land and running costs have steadily climbed to make Oxford one of the most expensive cities in the land....
