Oxford women’s water polo team headed to Nottingham for this year’s BUSA finals full of confidence. Virtually unbeaten all season and having won all three semi-final matches convincingly, Oxford knew they had a chance to prove their worth at this level.

Oxford surf Club returned from the surfing ‘Mecca’ of Newquay at the end of last term with a creditable mid table finish in the BUSA championships. The result was a tribute to the club’s steady development and excellent team morale since its formation in 2001.
Sport: Cheering To Success
The hitherto little-known Oxford Sirens, the university’s own cheerleading squad, raised their profile significantly during the Easter vac. After cheering Oxford to victory at the Varsity boat race they gained second place in their division at the British Cheerleading Association University Championships in Reading.
Sport: Oxford Women Fall At First Hurdle
The Oxford University women disappointed in the annual Oxford Brookes six a side competition as they crashed out in the group stage, despite a brave performance. Oxford’s early exit was in marked contrast to their efforts in previous years when they had dominated their opponents.
Sport: Blues Battle Of The Paddles
This year’s BUSA canoe polo competition, the largest tournament of its kind in the world, was held at Hatfield water park near Doncaster. Oxford entered three teams, a Men’s A team, Ladies A team, and mixed B team. Oxford men’s A had a tough draw, being pooled in a group with arch rivals Cambridge, as well as veterans Nottingham Trent and Sheffield Hallam.
