It’s business as usual this week for Dennis the Menace of Oxford Patrick Foster as Tartgate continues. Foster ‘accidentally’ replied to an email from Linacre College postgrad and Oxford Women in Politics (OxWip) organiser Ellie Cumbo advertising Tuesday night’s all-female election panel with the words: ‘I can’t think of anything I’d less like to fill my Tuesday night with. A load of over-opinionated and under-brained tarts talking blabbering crap.

Which serial wag has Hoodwinked the University by setting up a blog under the name of our esteemed Vice Chancellor? The author, clearly not Big John, writes: ‘Hopefully, this will provide a chance for me to record the lighter side of Univesity life and give an ‘insider’s’ report from within the dreaming spires. ‘I will endeavour to update this whenever I can, so remember to return again soon.’ I have no doubt the University Office will be logging on without delay.
