This mediocre second album from lifeless Liverpudlian Brit-rockers The Stands tries to do too much and never does anything. Its sounds range from Blur to Simon and Garfunkel, from The Verve to The Rolling Stones, but The Stands never achieve anything half as good as their inspirations.

Politics and music. Not always the happiest of bedfellows. System of a Down do it well, yet Kinesis split because no-one cared. At all. The latest in the line of political rockers are Rise Against. And to give them credit they pull it off really well.
