Mastermind comes to Oxford

News

BC quiz show Mastermind is visiting Oxford to find contestants for the show’s 2011 series.  During the audition attendees will be asked to discuss potential specialist subjects as well as undergoing a brief general knowledge quiz.

This year producers are eager for more women to take part as only one champion of the past decade has been female.

Mastermind began in 1972 and ran for 25 years before being cancelled. It was revived in 2003 with John Humphrys as presenter, a role in which he has continued ever since. Winners of Mastermind do not receive a cash prize, but are instead  presented with the Caithness Glass Trophy.

Would-be contestants are invited to attend open auditions on Tuesday 8th March (14:00 – 18:00) and Wednesday 9th March (10:00 – 16:00).
