Saturday stargazing on TV

National News News

Students are invited to stop studying for their degree and study the night’s sky instead this Saturday evening.

‘Stargazing Oxford’, an event to be held from 2-10pm at the Department of Physics will be featured on BBC Two’s Stargazing Live programme.

People will be able to take part in activities for free, such as taking a tour of the night’s sky in an inflatable planetarium.

Another attraction advertised by the University is “Discover ‘astrocrafts’; make your own cardboard telescopes, satellites, and a working spectrograph out of a cereal box to see what light is made of.”
