Professor Henry Woudhuysen was officially installed as the new Rector of Lincoln College in a ceremony last Friday.
The former UCL Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities became the 39th head of the college when he was elected in July. The Professor had previously worked for three years as a Junior Research Fellow at Lincoln.
He replaces historian Professor Paul Langford who had served as Rector from 2000.
Upon his election, Professor Woudhuysen said: “I wanted to return to Lincoln because it welcomed me so warmly more than thirty years ago, because I admire its collegiate ethos, and because I wanted to do everything that I could to make sure that its tradition as a friendly and distinguished place of learning, teaching, and scholarship continues.”
