Theatrical Oxonians: Sally Phillips

Sally Phillips graduated from New College with a first in Italian back in the 90s, where she was a member of the Oxford Revue (wasn’t everyone?) alongside Stewart Lee and Richard Herring. Her life in Oxford was not purely academic, however, as she proceeded to take on a job as Underling of the office services manager at Oxford City Council.

Since leaving the dreaming spires, she has taken on various comic roles, her most widely recognized being that of the fuckwit bashing ‘Shazza’ in the Bridget Jones’ Diary franchise, as well as the role of the secretary in hit comic series I’m Alan Partridge.
