Theatrical Oxonians: Terry Jones

Mr Creosote. ‘Wafer thin.’ Boom. You know. The loveable Welshman studied English at Teddy Hall, and in second-year joined the Oxford Revue, as they all do. In the Revue, Jones met a Mr Michael Palin, with whom he formed a writing partnership, and who would go on to be a fellow Python. It was possibly during the ‘experimental years’ of university that Jones discovered his penchant for comic-cross-dressing. Since Oxford, this man has done a lot, seriously.

Post-Python, Jones has written, acted and directed. He’s penned fiction and non-fiction for various ages. His foremost achievement, however, remains looking so remarkably like a toad in The Wind in the Willows.
