Winging It: 2nd week

This column (again) whose deep critical insights have attracted coverage on a national scale. This week’s Guardian online theatre editorial is ‘In Praise of… Winging It’. That’s right, in praise of me.

Dame Angela Lansbury, aged 88, returns to the stage this week in Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit. Having debuted back in 1944, Dame Lansbury appears to be getting better with age. Like cheese.

My “ex” wife is off this week to see the smash sensation ‘Blurred Lines’, a play dealing with important themes like casual sexism  and inequality in the workplace. It features timeless hits such as Tammy Wynette’s “Don’t Liberate Me” and The Crystals’ “He Hit Me (It Felt Like a Kiss)”. I wish she’d seen it before she filed for divorce.
