The Oxford Student launches ‘Everyday Oxford’

The Oxford Student has launched Everyday Oxford, a new feature which aims to highlight discrimination that Oxford students face. Inspired by the Everyday Sexism Project, we’ll be publishing submissions in our Comment section, both online and in the newspaper.

We want the project to be a space for students to raise awareness of discrimination and prejudices of all kinds, and therefore we’re inviting accounts of discrimination based on (but not limited to); gender, race, sexual orientation and economic background.

However, these are just a few broad themes, and we’re aiming to also cover discrimination not covered by these groupings.

We hope that the reporting of such events will show students that discrimination does exist, allowing it to be combated and prevented.

Please note that we are not affiliated with the original Everyday Sexism Project in any way.

If you have any questions about the project, please feel free to get in touch at [email protected] or on Twitter: @OxStuComment
