In my own personal version of back-to-school chic, I decided today to embrace the decade that style forgot – the nineties. Metallic mules, check. Pinafore very much like the one that I actually wore in the nineties, check. Handbag that my grandmother carried well into her nineties, check. With all my references in the right place, I was definitely appropriately attired for my first fashion show – the presentation of the Harvey Nichols AW collections. Practically jumping up and down with excitement as it began, I was on the edge of my seat snapping away like the rest of them before you could say ‘wannabe blogger’. A riot of brightly coloured turbans, Roksanda Ilincic gowns and more red soles than you can imagine – and the looks on the catwalk were even better. Lord knows how Anna and the rest of them keep their cool, the runway rush left me grinning inanely for hours afterwards.
