Be Editor-in-Chief of The Oxford Student for Trinity 2018
We’re looking for our next Editors-in-Chief of The Oxford Student. Working for The OxStu is a fantastic way to gain experience in journalism, and even work with national newspapers.
Positions are held for one term, at the end of which candidates must re-apply either for their role or another. If a candidate is unsuccessful in attaining the position they apply for, they will be able to discuss alternative options with the current editors.
Editor-in-Chief – 2 positions

Responsibilities
Have the final say on what gets published
Recruit, train, manage and lead the rest of the team
Take control of the paper’s strategic direction, and manage its design, layout and tone
Represent the paper to OUSU, national newspapers, and many other bodies; respond to feedback from readers
Approx. time commitment
30 hours a week
We will be hiring editorial staff, news reporters, staff writers, sub-editors, photographers, filmakers and cartoonists later on in term.
