Daniel Wilkinson wins Oxford Union Presidential race

Daniel Wilkinson will become President of Oxford Union for Hilary Term 2019, following elections yesterday (Friday the 8th June).

 

Brendan McGrath was elected as Librarian-elect, Amy Gregg was elected as Treasurer-elect, and Nick Brown was elected as Secretary.

 

All four were members of the ‘Progress’ slate. None of those running for senior office on ‘Refresh’ presidential candidate Julian Kirk’s slate were elected.

President-elect: Daniel Wilkinson with 567 first preferences

Librarian-elect: Brendan McGrath with 565 first preferences

Treasurer-elect: Amy Gregg with 629 first preferences

Secretary: Nick Brown with 523 first preferences

Sara Dube with 136 first preferences

Gemma Timmons with 133 first preferences

Harry Webster with 100 first preferences

Anisha Faruk with 100 first preferences

Mahi Joshi with 98 first preferences

Maxim Parr-Reid with 93 first preferences

 

Secretary’s commitee:

Olivia Railton with 83 first preferences

Chaitanya Kediyal with 71 first preferences

Abhishek Adavikolanu with 67 first preferences

Roman Marshall with 65 first preferences

Jack Blowers with 60 first preferences

Hugh Bellamy with 56 first preferences

Wilkinson, McGrath, and Gregg will serve in Hilary term next year, and Brown will serve in Michaelmas. All those elected to standing and secretary’s will serve in Michaelmas.
