Plush is to move into the Oxford Union’s cellar which has hosted Purple Turtle for twenty years. The move is expected to take place in January 2019.
The Oxford Union announced Monday 8th week that “Plush have accepted a long-term lease on Frewin Court, and we look forward to welcoming them. The club was founded to provide a safe atmosphere predominantly for the LGBTQ+ community, whilst welcoming all patrons.
“We look forward to working with Plush to announce an Oxford Union members club night, which will offer free entry for all Union members!”
Last week it was announced that P.T. was unable to renew its lease with the Oxford Union. In October it was announced that The Plush Lounge was to be evicted from its location on Park End Street after Nuffield, which own the building, decided to redevelop the site.
