Jericho Coffee Traders’ cash box and tip jar stolen
Popular student haunt Jericho Coffee Traders suffered a break-in on Saturday 26th October, where the thief smashed the front window with a rock, only to make off with approximately £40.00.
Jericho Coffee Traders is an independent business founded in 2013 and can be found on the Oxford high street. The shop was broken into before staff arrived at 8am to find the cash box and staff tip jar missing. Yet, the coffee trader does not keep cash on premises apart from in the tip jar, so the gain from the theft was therefore minimal. CCTV operates in the high street area, which company founder James Armitage believes he can use to identify the thief.
Manager Abigail Parker comments on how it is such a shame for the theft to happen to this independent business, and that the coffee shop has never experienced anything like it before.
